Hello! My name is Jake Rutter and I am so happy to be a part of the Acorn family!
I have been working with children ages 2-11 since graduating form American University in December 2020 (with a BA in Sociology.) I enjoy teaching children of all ages in a variety of subjects! I have worked in Head Start, spiritual based and NAEYC accredited programs. Music, exploring nature and building relationships are some of my passions. Reading to children, engaging in dramatic play and helping children develop problem solving skills are also a joyous part of my work. I live with my wife Stacie and our two cats, Bean and Banjo.
